Our Alcott Ballroom, named after Louisa May Alcott, is located on the Mezzanine level. It is gloriously finished with crystal chandeliers and regal floor-length draperies. In addition to the Alcott Ballroom, the Alcott Foyer can be used for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres with additional seating in the Harriet Beecher Stowe Room, as well as use of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Room. These intimate rooms are perfect for a cocktail reception and offer delightful views of King’s Chapel, Old City Hall, and its courtyard. This ballroom accommodates up to 130 guests for a plated dinner and dancing. Our famed Press Room is also located on the Mezzanine level. It is stately yet warm, featuring mahogany paneled walls, a marble fireplace, and hand-carved chandeliers. The intimacy of the Press Room is ideal for those seeking the elegant atmosphere and historic charm of Boston. The Press Room accommodates up to 110 guests for a plated dinner and dancing.
