Salisbury House is a 42-room mansion situated on 10 acres of woodlands in Des Moines, Iowa. The house is modeled after the King’s House in Salisbury, England. Built in the 1920’s by Iowans Carl & Edith Weeks, the home contains authentic 16th century English oak, English flintwork, and even rafters, which date back to the time of Shakespeare. It is filled with an eclectic collection of art, tapestries, books and furnishings. The grounds and gardens of Salisbury House are available for weddings and receptions.
