For millennia, people have looked to the heavens in wonder. Human curiosity has inspired our search to understand the universe. In 1930, Chicago business leader Max Adler founded the Adler Planetarium and created a “classroom under the heavens.” His gift to Chicago established America’s first planetarium. Today, the Adler Planetarium is a recognized leader in science education and research.
