An estate with many links to the history of Virginia and Loudoun County, the Rust Manor House was originally constructed by Henry Harrison for his wife Anne Lee. He was a descendant of the first-recorded European to visit Loudoun County and she was a descendent of Richard Henry Lee, one of the leaders in America’s bid for independence, and Francis Lightfoot Lee, one of the founders of Leesburg. Called “the house in the woods,” it was built on the site an old Indian hunting camp.
